What goals are you pursuing with your web presence? When would you say the goals have been achieved? In a joint strategy workshop, we first work out the central goals of your website. This gives everyone involved in the project the same understanding of the main goals / macro goals of the website (such as contract signings or contact inquiries). It also creates the most complete overview possible of all secondary goals / micro goals (e.g. downloads, newsletter sign-ups, viewing videos) that help intensify visitor interaction on the site.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
If conversion is a stated goal of the website in question, we create the conditions for measuring conversion and tracking its development. To do this, we identify the relevant channels that direct traffic to the website and make suitable measured values (KPIs) visible in a management report. Based on the measured values, our strategy team develops potentials and hypothesizes how these potentials can be used to increase success. The resulting recommendations for action are then prioritized and implemented together with the client.
In ongoing strategy consulting, we monitor and report on the development of the KPIs. The more precisely the goals are defined, the better we can measure the success of a site, identify potential and make recommendations for optimization. Through the viewable management report, the progress on the way to achieving the goals can be seen by all parties involved at any time.
Conversion Funnel
Let's assume that an Internet user became aware of your offer via a banner and thus lands on a landing page of your website that advertises the corresponding product. In order for this Internet user to become a buyer, he must click on a call-to-action element, a button. He then enters the ordering process, goes through it and finally confirms the order by clicking on another button. Only after completing this last step does he become a buyer, thus increasing the conversion rate of your website.
A conversion funnel summarizes all the steps a user takes along his visitor path until he makes use of the offer. This is where the image of a funnel comes from: A relatively large amount enters at the top. The task of the funnel is to direct as much of this as possible to the right place. While a large number of people click on a banner each day, the task now is to encourage as many of these people as possible to complete the product purchase. To do this, we use the available data to analyze the current situation and optimize the funnel.
Management Report
In order to make the conversion funnel visible for analysis, we provide a digital management report that enables a view of all relevant figures (key performance indicators / KPIs) and their development. The only requirement for this is a publicly accessible website and an integrated web analysis tool. If you do not yet use a web analysis tool, we will be happy to support you in setting it up.
Finally, the generated report shows the conversion funnels of all channels that direct traffic to the website. These can be online channels, such as Twitter, Facebook, SEA, etc., or offline channels, such as flyers with barcodes.
Strategy consulting in maintenance
During ongoing operations, our strategy team regularly monitors and reports on the development of your KPIs. The more precisely the goals are defined and the more detailed the tracking is implemented, the easier it is to identify potential and make recommendations for optimization. In sum, all these measures can increase the conversion rate. However, you can only find out at which point it can be optimized most effectively by going deep into the funnel and analyzing it in detail.
